Folks, In 1980 I started an oil company with the help of my loving wife Donna. With $3000.00, I bought a
1964 White oil truck and a load of oil from Quincy Oil Co.
Now after 36 years, I am proud to announce that I have
sold my oil company to my sons Richard and Christopher. I have the deepest confidence in both of them. They have
been involved in the business since they were kids. They did whatever they could to make my work a little easier.
Both know the business from the bottom up. They have done it all.
My wife Donna has
worked right along with me since we started the business. I could not have been so successful without her.
Donna will still be involved in the daily operation of the business. The woman refuses to get old.
hope to help my boys in any way I can but they will be in control of everything.
I would like to
thank everyone that I have had the pleasure to meet in this business. I wish all of you good health, happiness
and success at whatever you do.

According to Fox News U.S. consumption of oil is down 12% year to date. The
price of a barrel of oil is down 60% from a high of $147.00 per barrel. Inventory of oil worldwide is 56 days which
is quite high. OPEC meets in Cairo this weekend. A cut in production is expected and cheating by the cartel is
also expected. Shell is reducing oil sands investment in Canada. The one constant is that conservation saves you
money. I keep talking about tightening those windows and doors. Our records show people are conserving and that's
a no lose situation. Don't try to save money by not doing that annual tune up. It is counter productive.
A heating system that is not running up to top efficiency can use a lot of extra oil.

The economy shows no sign on a recovery. The flip side is the price of
oil has dropped over $2.00 a gallon since July 4. There doesn't seem to be any turn around in the near future for
the economy. The price of fuel oil seems to be following the path of the economy. Imagine that, the law of supply
and demand also works for the oil producers.
Another bright note, we have been installing the
very high quality Thermo Pride Furnace
for many years with great results. They have always had a life time warranty on their heat exchanger although
we have never had one fail. We have seen many other manufacturers heat exchangers fail. This can be quite costly
for the home owner.
Thermo Pride now warranties their motors, pumps and controls for ten years
to assure you that your initial investment in Thermo Pride quality was a wise one. This warranty applies to Thermo Pride
oil and gas fired furnaces sold after 9/1/08.

Our new president elect - Barack Obama - has his work cut out for him. I wish
him well in his attempt to get the economy moving again.
Oil prices fell 32% for the month
of October. OPEC announced a production cut of 1.5 million barrels. It didn't help the erratic slide in the
wholesale price of fuel oil. It is down 15 cents one day and up 10 cents the next. The decrease in world
demand for oil is greater than the cut in production. OPEC's next meeting is at the end of the year.
The Intellicon fuel ecomomizer we installed on my 14 year old boiler is giving us results. The digital readout tells
me I'm saving 31% on my fuel usage. I can't be positive yet, but the boiler seems to run less frequently.
We will watch our fuel deliveries at the house and keep you posted on its progress. The control and installation can
cost as little as $450.00.
